Dee Brandt was born into an Air Force family and lived all over during her childhood. After graduating from high school in Del Rio, Texas, she returned to her parents' home state for college at LSU. She earned a degree in journalism, and later, an MBA, and worked as a newspaper reporter before settling into a PR/marketing career. After Sun Insurance was founded in 2003, she began to spend more and more time in the agency, taking responsibility for accounting and marketing and various tasks associated with a growing family business. Dee continues to work part-time in healthcare as the marketing director for Dr. George Pope, an Orlando plastic surgeon. She also owns JPC Unlimited, where she is the publisher of a monthly magazine for a 55 community in Clermont, and continues to handle all of Sun's marketing, including direct mail and advertising. In her spare time, Dee loves spending time with her family (especially grandchildren Aubrey,Hannah and Alex) and her rescue dog Zoey.
